Hi! I hope everyone had a great Fourth. We did. I didn't touch my draft at all and my brain as well as my wrists enjoyed the time off. We had a fabulously full day with friends, and I have to admit today I'm a little grumpy. (Peopled out, maybe?)
Anyway, I got a few wordsprints in this afternoon and am feeling better about this project than I have all month.
Today's Teaser: Home? Whatever that meant. She didn’t even know what to tell people when they asked her where she was from. Ten years in Manhattan but spending huge chunks of times at her grandma’s in upstate New York. Eight years in Yanji, China, where she grew fluent in Korean because of the nature of her parents’ work. And then a year in Cambridge, where other than Reuben and the Lindgrens the only real friend she made was her roommate, a sort of organic neo-hippy from Never-Heard-of-It, Alaska.
Blooper of the Day: Kennedy quickly thrust her eyes to the ground. (Sounds painful, doesn't it?)
Today's Procrastination Method of Choice: Lots of outside time while my father-in-law is helping my kids build a clubhouse. Loads of fun (and good time for pacing and plotting).
3-Word Summary: Need some quiet.
Prayer Requests: That I could get over my grumpy mood!
