I know I didn't post any Terry Tidbits last week, and there's a reason for that. I had a carpal tunnel flareup, so normally I would have just switched to dictation. Coincidentally, I was also scheduled to lead music at church this week, and I knew if I used up my voice dictating I would haven't anything left to sing with during today's service. Thus the week off from writing and blogging. I was disappointed to lose momentum, but I'm back in this week feeling rested and ready to tackle the next parts of Kennedy's newest novel.
Today's Teaser: "That's what I said," Nick interrupted. "It's a classic white-on-black issue." He turned Carl. "Honestly, Pastor, I'm surprised you're not even more riled up than I am."
Carl grinned. If Kennedy suspected he had a sarcastic bone in his body, she might have said he smirked. "Even more riled up? Why? Because I'm black?"
Blooper of the Day: Nick banged his head on the table to accentuate his point. (Actually, he was just banging his hand. No youth pastors were harmed during the writing of this scene!)
Procrastination Method of Choice: I spent last week doing some extra cleaning and singing, and I spent Saturday with a friend at a craft booth. I also took some time brainstorming future Kennedy books.
Prayer Request: Please pray that I could get back into the swing of writing and have a productive week. Please also pray for my wrists! I'd love to finish up this draft without having to slow down again.
