Hi there! I hope everyone's doing great!
I've been getting into JuNoWriMo and am about a third of the way into Kennedy Stern book 2, but for today's WIP, I'm sticking to my Agent Ko stories.
Here's another 6 paragraphs (for the sixth month) that will further introduce you to Ko's roommate, Chun-Hee.
Chun-Hee let air out her nose in what sounded like a snort. “So you know Ryuk, huh?”
Ko kept her eyes on the piece of carpet between them. She was thankful to talk about something familiar. “Yeah. He’s a friend of my father’s. He’d come over …”
“Come over for dinner every so often bringing you little trinkets from overseas, right?”
Ko stared blankly. “Right.” For some reason, she had thought of Ryuk as her own personal recruiter, someone assigned exclusively to her. She had no idea what he really did for the Agency, and she felt even more lost than she had when she first stepped into the cold, austere room.
“Brothers or sisters?”
It was a question that always made Ko’s palms itch with discomfort. “A little brother.” She nibbled on the tip of her pinky.
Random Fact: I have one brother, who's a year and a half older than I am.
Blog Love: Huge thanks to K L Schwengel for hosting the WIPpet Wednesday blog hop, where authors post snippets from their current Works In Progress.
Summer Bargain: My suspense novel, Slave Again, is on sale this week for 99 cents. This one deals with human trafficking on the North-Korea/Chinese border.
